Endovelicus: Update 0.2.0!


Endovelicus Update 0.2.0 contains internal changes, fixes, and tweaks to improve the core gameplay experience.

Changelog:

  • fix: Upgrades are now reset upon starting a new game from the pause and win/lose menu
  • fix: Units now face the right direction when attacking other units
  • fix: Spell-casting buttons will no longer occasionally fail to animate into transparency when used
  • fix: Spell-casting buttons will no longer occasionally fail to display the countdown timer when used
  • fix: Unit-summoning timers on villages will no longer occasionally fail to complete
  • fix: Notifications will no longer occasionally fail to close when clicked
  • fix: Ranged units such as mages and archers will no longer occasionally rapid-fire up to 3 projectiles in a row
  • fix: The camera will no longer unnaturally snap to a position on finishing map generation
  • fix: Other general minor fixes
  • change: Menu sounds are now a little quieter
  • change: Tower repair/upgrade buttons now have sounds
  • change: When upgrading towers, the range radius is now animated
  • change: Towers around the player’s starting village now begin at the max level
  • change: The game’s version number can now be seen on the main menu
  • balance: Mages now fire slightly slower, but deal slightly more damage
  • balance: Archers now do less damage, to reduce their ability to be used in “death balls”

This update addresses some of the most glaring issues with the initial release, but please do let me know if you run into any more while playing! Remember: you can access this page at any time while in-game by clicking the “Itch.io” button on the pause or main menus! :)
